Derry Township Appoints New Supervisor
HERSHEY, PA – Derry Township Supervisor E. Christopher Abruzzo stepped down from his post on the Board of Supervisors officially on September 24, 2024. In anticipation of his departure, the Board of Supervisors solicited applications from interested residents to fill the 14-month unexpired term. The Board received 12 applications and, after conducting an internal review, they selected Mr. Dominic Giovanniello at a specially advertised meeting on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.
Dominic Giovanniello is a lifelong resident of Derry Township, a part of the third generation of his family to have grown up in Hershey. He was born and raised in Derry Township and graduated from Hershey High School in 2013. He currently resides in the Township with his wife, Madison, and their two daughters, Leona and Francesca. He is a member of Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
Dominic is an attorney by profession with Mette, Evans & Woodside, focusing his practice on litigation, mainly real estate law, land use and zoning, construction law, business law and estate and trust disputes. He has extensive experience practicing law throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and United States District Courts.
By choosing to raise a family in the Township, Dominic has a vested interest in the future success of the Township and its residents. He is looking forward to helping make Derry Township an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.
Dominic received his undergraduate degree from Shippensburg University, where he currently serves as a Director on the Shippensburg University Alumni Association Board, and his law degree from Widener University Law School.
