Asbury Foundation

Mette, Evans & Woodside is a sponsor and participant for the Asbury Foundation Caring Classic Golf Tournament. The tournament raises funds for “Benevolent Care” which is the discounting of fees, including monthly and ancillary fees, and payment of certain expenses, for residents who have exhausted their assets.

Firm Collects Food to Aid Needy Families

The attorneys and staff at Mette, Evans & Woodside hold various events throughout the year to benefit the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank. Working together, the employees gather non-perishable food items and fundraise money for families who receive help from the food bank.

Fredricksen Library

The Fredricksen is the largest public library in Cumberland County and houses 120,000 items on their shelves. The library estimates that it serves 500,000 people annually through visits or access to online information. Mette, Evans & Woodside has sponsored the quarterly newsletter, The Patron, for the Fredricksen Library and attorney, Kathryn L. Simpson, serves on the Board of Trustees for the library.

Ned Smith Center

The Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art was founded in 1993 to celebrate the life and works of its namesake, the nationally recognized wildlife artist, naturalist and writer Ned Smith. Mette, Evans and Woodside has been a longtime sponsor of their events such as the golf event and the sporting clay shooting event.

RSVP of the Capital Region

RSVP of the Capital Region is a volunteer-based organization who recruits, trains and places volunteers in not-for-profit agencies, schools, government offices, hospitals and senior residences. Mette, Evans & Woodside partners with RSVP for an annual children’s book drive to encourage children to read.

United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) educates, advocates and provides support services to ensure a life without limits for people with a spectrum of disabilities. Mette, Evans & Woodside is a proud sponsor of UCP and their goal of assisting people with disabilities to nurture development and independence.

Wreaths Across America

Mette, Evans & Woodside has purchased its holiday wreaths from Wreaths Across America that will decorate our doors this holiday season. Wreaths Across America provides fresh wreaths for the graves of soldiers buried in National Cemeteries. For each of the wreaths the Firm purchased, one will be laid on a grave of a soldier buried at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
