Dallas Kephart

Biography

Dallas Kephart’s commitment to serving others is unmistakable. Dallas serves as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and previously served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Patricia McCullough of the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court. Dallas has experience with notable cases that involved congressional redistricting, election challenges, and administrative orders. He also has experience with appeals of license suspensions, unemployment, and workers’ compensation disputes. Previously, Dallas served as a law clerk to the United States House of Representatives Oversight Committee and as a student advocate to the Penn State Law Civil Rights Appellate Clinic and the Penn State Law Entrepreneurship Assistance Clinic. While part of the Civil Rights Appellate Clinic, Dallas was part of a student group that won an appeal before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. With the Entrepreneurship Assistance Clinic, Dallas assisted local entrepreneurs by forming small businesses and providing legal assistance. Dallas also interned for the Honorable Katherine Oliver of the Centre County Court of Common Pleas. Dallas has deep ties to the energy industry in Pennsylvania. He worked in the coal industry and is a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives Environmental Resources and Energy Committee.   Dallas graduated from Penn State Law at University Park, earning the CALI Award in Legal Research for obtaining the top grade in his class and certifications in Constitutional Law & Civil Rights, Administrative Law & the Regulatory State, and Energy & Environmental Law. Dallas attended Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, graduating from the Global Honors Program with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in Economics, Magna Cum Laude. While at Lock Haven University, Dallas interned for Congressman Glenn “GT” Thompson. Dallas is a multigenerational resident of central Pennsylvania. Outside of work, Dallas enjoys cycling, running, and reading nonfiction.
