Biography

James is a litigator and problem solver whose practice centers on real estate, professional-licensure defense, and administrative law. He represents real estate brokers, agents, buyers, and other industry participants in all matters ranging from defending brokers and agents in civil lawsuits to handling litigation involving commercial real estate valued in the tens of millions of dollars. His experience also includes briefing and arguing precedent-setting appeals before the Pennsylvania Superior Court, with outcomes that impact billions of dollars in commerce across the Commonwealth.

James also maintains a robust professional-licensure practice, representing and defending clients before nearly every Pennsylvania board and commission including the Real Estate Commission, Board of Medicine, Board of Nursing, Board of Dentistry, Board of Occupational Therapy, Board of Certified Real Estate Appraisers, and the Board for Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Professional Counselors.

In his state administrative law practice, James has represented clients in administrative proceedings before the Pennsylvania Insurance Department, the Public Utility Commission, the Pennsylvania Department of Health, and the Office of Inspector General.

Federally, James has represented clients both in Federal District Court and Bankruptcy Court as well as before the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
