Kathy Speaker MacNett Reappointed to Harrisburg Intergovernmental Cooperation Authority
Mette is proud to announce that shareholder Kathy SpeakerMacNett has been reappointed to the Harrisburg Intergovernmental CooperationAuthority (ICA), continuing her longstanding commitment to public service andfiscal oversight in the City of Harrisburg.
Kathy was an original member of the HarrisburgIntergovernmental Cooperation Authority, having first been appointed by formerPennsylvania Representative Frank Dermody, who was serving as the DemocraticLeader of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives at the time. Today, sheremains the Authority’s longest serving member, bringing decades of experience,institutional knowledge, and leadership to the organization.
The Harrisburg Intergovernmental Cooperation Authority wasestablished to provide financial oversight and guidance to the City ofHarrisburg, helping promote fiscal responsibility, transparency, and long-termfinancial stability. Through her years of service, Kathy has played animportant role in supporting the Authority’s mission and helping navigatesignificant financial matters affecting Pennsylvania’s capital city.
In addition to her distinguished public service, Kathy is ashareholder at Mette, where she is widely respected for her extensive legalknowledge, strategic counsel, and commitment to achieving successful outcomesfor her clients. Kathy’s educational background reflects her dedication toboth law and public administration. She earned her Juris Doctor from theDickinson School of Law, a Master of Governmental Administration (M.G.A.) fromthe University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Arts from St. Francis Collegein Loretto, Pennsylvania. Her unique combination of legal, governmental, andadministrative expertise has made her a valued leader both within the legalprofession and throughout the community.
