Ms. Vanderau’s practice primarily centers in the banking law and business law practice areas. Her work in banking law includes clients from all types of financial institutions. She regularly advises clients on regulatory and compliance issues, including federal and state banking regulations and Articles 3 and 4 of the Uniform Commercial Code. She also assists financial institution clients in connection with corporate governance and risk management issues, with a specialty in vendor management and contract review. Ms. Vanderau also advises clients regarding facilitating and closing loans; loan workouts; bankruptcies and mortgage foreclosures; and other lending and creditors’ rights matters.
In addition, Ms. Vanderau works with all types of business entities from closely-held and public corporations to partnerships and sole proprietors to provide counsel on corporate formation, corporate and regulatory compliance, and asset purchases and mergers.
She previously served as Vice President and Bank Counsel in an in-house capacity for a regional bank. She received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Susquehanna University, and is a cum laude graduate of the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University. She is a member of the Dauphin County, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations, and serves on the Board of Directors of Hamilton Health Center, a federally qualified health center, located in Harrisburg. She is an adjunct professor of Payment Systems at the Dickinson School of Law.
