April 5, 2022 – HARRISBURG, PA – The law firm of Mette, Evans & Woodside welcomes Julia Jacobs van Leeuwen to the firm as an attorney. Julia’s focus areas will be Litigation and Employment Law.
Prior to joining Mette, Evans & Woodside, Julia worked as a Deputy District Attorney at the Dauphin County District Attorney’s Office. As a Deputy DA, she prioritized seeking just results for victims of crimes ranging from victim intimidation, assaults, and homicide. Julia tried over ten jury trials and numerous non-jury trials while at the District Attorney’s Office. She carries those trial litigation skills into her role at Mette, Evans & Woodside.

Julia earned her law degree at the Pennsylvania State University – Dickinson School of Law in Carlisle, PA. While at Dickinson Law, she was a member of the National Trial Team and an executive board member of the Appellate Moot Court Board. While acquiring her J.D., Julia also completed concentrations of study in both civil litigation and criminal litigation. Upon graduating, she was selected as a member of The Order of Barristers, which recognized her exceptional trial and appellate advocacy skills.
