The law firm of Mette, Evans & Woodside welcomes Stephen Edwards to the firm as an associate attorney.
At Mette, Evans & Woodside, Stephen Edwards’ focus areas are state and federal civil rights, commercial litigation, construction litigation, and appellate advocacy. Stephen has experience in all of the U.S. District Courts in Pennsylvania, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, as well as the Pennsylvania appellate and trial courts.
Stephen takes pride in learning about his clients’ circumstances and the relevant law to understand all aspects of each case. He is passionate about appellate advocacy, whether it’s an error-correction from a lower court or a law development matter that will change the legal landscape for future litigation.
A large portion of Stephen’s time as a practitioner has been spent representing clients whose freedom of speech rights have been violated. He also has significant experience in other civil rights litigation including those involving the First, Fourth, Fifth, Eighth, and Fourteenth Amendments to the U.S. Constitution.
“Mette, Evans & Woodside is delighted to introduce associate attorney Stephen Edwards,” said Thomas Archer, the firm’s president. “Stephen brings experience in civil rights litigation and appellate advocacy. His dedication to clients and passion fit in well with our team and we are thrilled to welcome him.”
Stephen received his J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law and his B.A. from Furman University. He enjoys canoeing, hiking, and reading philosophy in his free time.
