Attorney Vera N. Kanova focuses her legal practice in the areas of bankruptcy, business law and litigation. Having served in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, she is well versed in bankruptcy proceedings, trial and hearing procedures. Her legal experience and ability to analyze complex legal issues has proven invaluable.
Prior to joining Mette, Evans & Woodside, Vera served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Mary D. France of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Middle District of Pennsylvania. While in law school, she served as a certified legal intern for the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, conducted research projects for Dean and Professor of Law Gary S. Gildin and was a pro bono advocate.
Vera graduated with distinction from the Pennsylvania State University, where she earned a B.S. in Information Science and Technology. She received her J.D. from the Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law, where she was a member of the Woolsack Honor Society.
Dedicated to improving the community, Vera serves on the Junior Board of the YWCA of Greater Harrisburg. She is the President of the Capital Region Civitan Club, a community service club that focuses on helping people with disabilities. In her free time, Vera enjoys playing volleyball, tennis and skiing.
