In its position as Bond Counsel, Mette, Evans & Woodside plays a key role in the issuance of short, intermediate and long-term debt for governmental and private purpose financings. Mette, Evans & Woodside has also served as Underwriter's Counsel to national investment banking firms in connection with a wide variety of intricate municipal bond transactions.

The attorneys in the Municipal Finance Group have extensive experience in the refunding and restructuring of outstanding debt. The firm has participated in numerous innovative refundings and restructurings involving fixed interest rate bonds, variable interest bonds and taxable bonds. Working side by side with our Taxation Group, we take into account the many complex state and federal tax problems that can affect even the most conventional municipal bond transactions.

In addition, the firm also works with municipalities and school districts on the issuance of tax and revenue anticipation notes. Experienced in Pennsylvania bond pool financing programs, Mette, Evans & Woodside was one of the first firms in the Commonwealth serving as Bond Counsel in connection with Pennsylvania Pennvest program.

As part of a team working in concert from the planning stage through to the finished project, the Municipal Finance Group coordinates all phases of the project to assure a successful outcome.
