Kathryn Simpson Named Super Lawyer

Kathryn L. Simpson, an attorney with Mette, Evans & Woodside whose practice is in Commercial Litigation, Employment Law and Healthcare Law, was named one of the top attorneys in the Commonwealth by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers magazine. This is the fourth year that Ms. Simpson has been recognized as a Super Lawyer. Only five percent of attorneys in Pennsylvania make the Super Lawyers list.

Jeff Ernico Honored By PA Legal Aid Network

Jeff Ernico was recently honored by Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network for his outstanding support of civil legal aid through his service as President and Board Member from 1994 to 2010. During his year or service, Ernico served as Secretary, Treasurer, Chair of the Finance Committee and Chair of the Governance and Nominating Committees. Attorney Ernico was also honored by PLAN in 1999 with a Special Achievement Award for his work as a Chair of the PBA Task Force on Legal Services to the Poor.

Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network is a client-centered organization that provides leadership, funding, and support to improve the availability and quality of civil legal aid and direct legal services for low income people and victims of domestic violence in Pennsylvania. PLAN administers and distributes in excess of $30 million per year to legal services programs.

Randall Hurst Presented With PWEA Award

Mette, Evans & Woodside attorney Randall G. Hurst was presented with the prestigious Walter A. Lyon Purity of Waters Award by the Pennsylvania Water Environment Association (PWEA). The award, named after the first head of Pennsylvania's Department of Environmental Protection, was presented to Hurst at the Association's annual conference.

Kathryn Lease Simpson Honored With Pennsylvania Bar Association's President's Award

Attorney Kathyrn Lease Simpson, of Mette, Evans & Woodside, recently received the Pennsylvania Bar Association's President's Award. Ms. Simpson was recognized for her dedicated service to the legal profession and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Ms. Simpson currently serves as chair emeritus of the PBA's of the Federal Practice Committee and is a former chair of the Professional Liability Committee.
