Each Valentine's Day for the past five years, the staff at Mette, Evans & Woodside has dedicated time to assembling Valentine's Day treats for CPARC (Central Pennsylvania Association of Retarded Citizens).
The handmade gift bags are filled with a selection of goodies (specially made to abide by dietary restrictions) for developmentally challenged adults, who are residing in group homes in the Cumberland and Perry County area.
Enriching Cultural Arts In Our Community
The Cultural Enrichment Fund supports a multitude of arts and cultural organizations in Central Pennsylvania. Each one adds a unique perspective to our community, by fostering interest in and exposure to art and culture for thousands of people throughout the region.
Since 1996, Mette, Evans & Woodside has contributed over $28,000 to the united campaign for the arts in the capital region under both the Allied Arts Fund and Cultural Enrichment Fund brands.

Starting from City Island in Harrisburg and walking along the Susquehanna Riverfront, the team raised $3,288 for the cause. The team's efforts placed them in the Top 50 fund raisers for the Harrisburg event and helped contribute to the $650,000 total raised for the area.
The Easter Bunny got a little help from the staff at Mette, Evans & Woodside, who assembled Easter Baskets before the holiday. All of the goodies used to fill the baskets were donated by the firm's employees. The filled baskets were distributed to underprivileged children in Harrisburg.
American Cancer Daffodil Days
During the year, the staff at Mette, Evans & Woodside diligently holds book sales and bake sales to raises money in anticipation of spring. All the funds raised are then used to purchase daffodils during the American Cancer Society's Daffodil Days.
In March, the firm's offices look like Daffodil Central! This year alone Mette, Evans & Woodside will purchase 46 bunches of daffodils. All of the flowers are then distributed to local nursing homes and/or hospitals to add a bright touch of spring for residents and patients.
