Kathryn Lease Simpson
Ms. Simpson practices Commercial Litigation, Professional Liability Defense, Civil Rights and Employment Law, and Health Law.
Ms. Simpson routinely represents clients in complex commercial litigation and professional liability matters. She is the past co-chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Federal Practice Committee, and a past chair of the Professional Liability Committee. In addition, Ms. Simpson is a member of the PBA House of Delegates.
She is one of the Founding Members and Masters of the William W. Lipsitt Chapter of the American Inn of Court and serves as its treasurer. She is a former governor of Allegheny County's prestigious Academy of Trial Lawyers. Ms. Simpson is a frequent speaker and author of Continuing Legal Education course materials for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. She has served as a faculty member of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law Trial Advocacy Program. She is named in the Corporate Counsel Edition of Super Lawyers as one of Pennsylvania's top business litigators.
Ms. Simpson is a former chair of a municipal planning commission. Her other community service includes volunteer work with Susquehanna Service Dogs and the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center's Pet Therapy Program.
