Henry W. Van Eck concentrates his practice in the areas of bankruptcy, insolvency, reorganization, restructuring, workouts and commercial litigation. Mr. Van Eck is one of the few Central Pennsylvania attorneys that undertakes insolvency and restructuring work on behalf of all affected participants. His creditor clients include banks, lenders, financial institutions, investment groups, official and unofficial creditors' committees, bondholders and equity security holders. His debtor clients include individuals, sole proprietorships, partnerships (including limited and general), corporations, officers and directors of financially distressed companies, and all other business entities.
Mr. Van Eck provides his creditor clients with the counsel necessary to enforce and protect their rights when a bankruptcy proceeding is filed by assessing the valuation and solvency of the debtor, the viability of financing and restructuring strategies, the liens and claims of secured creditors, and other issues critical to maximizing value for his clients. Mr. Van Eck also routinely provides his debtor clients with the legal advice and assistance necessary to reduce their debt, streamline their operations, and implement the sound fiscal policies necessary to overcome their financial challenges.
Mr. Van Eck is a former director for the Middle District Bankruptcy Bar Association, where he served as chairman for the rules committee. He also routinely speaks and authors Continuing Legal Education course materials for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the Middle District Bankruptcy Bar Association.
